I moved to Oklahoma in 1990 but it was not until December 1999 that I bought my first home with my husband Allen in Brookhaven. We had looked at homes for several months and decided on Brookhaven. What I liked about Brookhaven were the trees, the way the addition was laid out, the park and its location to everything! Though we had always paid our dues, Allen and I did not become involved with the HOA until 2008. We both felt that we needed to connect with the community we live in and the time was right to become involved. Through our involvement with the HOA, we have become friends with great people who care about our neighborhood. We’ve also become aware of the challenges Brookhaven faces as an voluntary association. I current chair the Beautification Committee and serve as Treasurer. My hope it to help people become invested in the future of Brookhaven because it’s a wonderful place to live. As Treasurer, I serve as an officer only, not as Board member, as allowed by the bylaws of the association. Send an EMAIL

My wife, Debbie, and I have lived in Edmond since 1974. In 2015 we decided to move to a new home. Brookhaven North has a lot to offer. We liked the established neighborhood with so many different beautiful homes and trees. A park for the grandkids to play in. The entrances and green belt areas are very well kept. Easy access to I-35 makes my wife’s drive to work so much more easy. The Home Owners Association was also a factor in our decision to buy in Brookhaven North. It gave us some assurance the neighborhood would be maintained and our guest and family would see a mowed green belt and attractive entrances into the addition. In our time here, we have met some nice people.
As members, we hope to help keep Brookhaven North a great place to live. Send an EMAIL

My wife, Denise, and I moved to Brookhaven in 1999. What we liked about Brookhaven were the trees, the way the addition was laid out, the park and its location to everything! Though we had always paid our dues, we did not become involved with the HOA until 2008. Like most people we were too busy so we cut out a few other activities to make time for neighbors. We have met a lot of good people. I hope we can contribute to our neighborhood.

My affiliation with Brookhaven began when I married a long time resident, Carolyn Lilly, in 1996. Not long afterward, while attending a home owners gathering I found out just how quickly one can become elected at the neighborhood Treasurer. I serviced in that capacity for five years until it became necessary to “pass the baton” and proceed to embrace a cancer cure. That is behind me and once again I am serving on the board but in a reduced capacity (time wise). Once a person realized that their home is about the most valuable asset they own it becomes necessary to preserve that property. Your Homeowner’s Association is an important partner in that asset protection. That is why I have always had an interest in keeping Brookhaven a desirable place to live. This coming spring I retire for the second time. Firstly, from the USAF and now as a school bus driver for Edmond Public Schools.
