Water Pressure Changes in Brookhaven North

The Brookhaven HOA has been alerted by a Brookhaven owner that due to the recent addition of two water towers in our area (one at Edmond North High School and the other on Covell) there had been a drastic increase in water pressure in the last month.
Water pressure has been reported at 125 PSI, whereas normal is between 60 and 80 PSI. Local pressures have ranged from 90 to 120 PSI. These high pressures can damage valves in washing machines, dishwashers, toilets, water heaters, and water lines.
If you notice dripping faucets, toilets that keep running after flushing, or water leaks that were not there before, it is recommended that you contact a professional plumber and have your water pressure checked. A number of Brookhaven owners have installed high pressure values to their homes.
The Edmond Water Department has been alerted to this situation and recommends that homeowners do what is necessary to prevent water damage in their homes.
